More notes about the marina |
Varazze Marina is situated on the Ligurian coast of Italy, immediately SW of the town of the same name, behind two long breakwater enclosing a natural bay. The marina provides berthing for over 700 vessels on 12 fixed jetties and three floating pontoons. Shelter in the marina is excellent in all conditions.
Marina radio contact
Call Varazze Marina on VHF channel 09 or telephone +39 019 935321 or e-mail.
The marina is constructed on the E side of a low headland and is difficult to identify from offshore. A castle on the hill directly above is conspicuous and when closer in the marina breakwaters are clearly visible to the W of the town beaches. The marina is entered from N, avoiding the extensive sandbank around the inside of the end of the outer breakwater. Depths in the entrance are 4.0 to 5.0 metres and in the marina from 3.5 to 5.0 meters.
