Blyth is the home of the Royal Northumberland Yacht Club (RNYC). It is situated approximately 7nm north of the River Tyne and normally offers all tide access (but seas beak in the entrance in strong SE winds at low water).

Call Blyth Harbor on VHF 12 before entering or leaving the harbor.
Blyth is a busy commercial harbor and care should be taken not to get in the way of commercial vessels entering or leaving the harbor. On entering you will need to keep to the starboard side of the channel and then turn port to cross the channel when the south harbor is abeam and the channel is clear of shipping.
Berthing
Visitors pontoon berths are available on the north of the northern most pontoon and are provided by RNYC for a cost of £2 per meter per day.
