Protected from north, east and south although wind does sometimes blow across the saddle into the anchorage, open to south west.   • El Nido is a pleasant, laid back little village, much nicer than Coron, which is becoming too comercialized. Prices are a bit lower and the anchorage is better too, since there is no reef and it is possible to anchor close in on sand. It also seems a bit less humid here.
