Golden Sands or Zlatni Piassatzi (Bulgarian: Златни пясъци, Zlatni pyasatsi) is a major seaside resort town on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, adjacent to a national park of the same name in the municipality of Varna. Located 17 km north of downtown Varna, it is virtually connected to the city by a continuous swath of resorts and villa communities.

Navigation

The breakwater of Golden Sands can be seen form 1-2 nM offshore. But,

Danger: Monastery Reef is to the SE, but is marked by a buoy. Also, there are fishing nets, on poles, to the E of the breakwater.

The approach from the S is easier.

A few miles off, hail the marina on either VHF channel 77 or 16.

Entrance

Golden Sands is a port of entry to Bulgaria. The marina will arrange for the officials will come to the boat and clear it.
