Berthing
There are 3 harbours on the island:
- Eivissa (aka the city of Ibiza or Ibiza town) — is the main city on the island
- Sant Antoni de Portmany (aka San Antonio) — is a nightlife centre of the island
- Santa Eularia des Riu — is the 3rd town in the island, with less nightlife than two others
There are 4 marinas in the port of Eivissa (city of Ibiza) and the other two are in Sant Antoni de Portmany and Santa Eularia des Riu. All of them are known for notoriously high prices in season.
Anchorages
There are plenty of anchorages around the whole island. See the respective harbour articles for more details.
Transportation
There are daily flights to the Spanish mainland and other destinations within the EU as well as ferries to Alicante.
Tourism
Ibiza was first settled by the Phoenician (Carthaginians) in 654 BC and then by the Greeks who called the island Pitiusas. After the Punic Wars the island was taken over by the Romans. In 1235, like the rest of the Balearic islands Ibiza was conquered by James I of Aragon.
