More notes about the marina

The small village and marina of Skradin lies on the Krka river on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, eight miles upriver from the city of Sibenik. Access to the river is via a five mile long inlet entered through a narrow strait, the Kanal Sv. Ante, situated five miles SE of Vodice and 11 miles NNW of Primosten. The village is renowned for its remarkable waterfalls, the Skradinski Buk, the most spectacular of three sets of falls on the Krka River. Marina Skradin is an ACI-operated marina offering 153 berths for yachts up to 20 metres in depths of up to 7.0 metres.

Marina radio contact

Call Marina Skradin on VHF channel 17 prior to entry. Alternatively, telephone or e-mail to enquire about berthing or advance reservations.

Navigation/Approach

The channel of Kanal Sv. Ante is entered at Template:Coord legacy just south of the resort of Jadrija. On the E side of the entrance is a rocky shoal, Hrid Rocni, which is marked with a light beacon and should be left to starboard. The narrow channel leads ENE for a mile before opening out into the bay of Sibenik. Note that there is a further shoal patch on the E side where the channel opens out. It is marked with a light structure. Once into the bay of Sibenik, the entrance to the Krka River channel is a further three miles at the NW end of the bay. The channel is marked with port and starboard buoys. Follow the channel round into the large inland lake of Proljansko Jezero, being careful to avoid the numerous mussel farms en route. The channel then continues for a further two miles from the E side of the lake under a motorway bridge and up to Skradin. Another road bridge just beyond Skradin with less than 10.0 metres air draft prevents any further progress. The marina lies in a narrow inlet on the N side of the river.

Berthing

Berthing assistance available at all times. Yachts berth on stern/bows-to on two long catwalks around the inlet or one of three pontoons extending out from the shore. The most northern pontoon and the north side of the middle one are reserved for visitors. Wait for instructions before mooring. Laid moorings at all berths.
