Igoumenitsa (Ηγουμενίτσα) is a commercial port on the mainland across from Corfu. It is the terminal of the Igoumenitsa-Corfu ferry.

Anchorages

• The inner bay located about 2nm WNW of here 'Ormiskos Valtou' is an excellent anchorage, very quiet, unspoilt and teeming with fish. Protected all round from wind and swell. Holding in mud and weed at depths of 3-5 meters is good, but may take a couple of goes of your anchor to hold. The outer bay offers protection for all except SW weather, and the beach head has a beach bar and sunshades. This beach experiences a rapid drop off similar to that in Parga, and yachts, especially holiday flotillas, can be seen 'beaching' here nose on, with kedges deployed and main anchors walked out on to the beach. the bar only seems to be open by prior booking.
