Vilamoura Marina is a luxury resort and marina development located 15 miles west of Faro and seven miles E of Albufeira on the S coast of Portugal. The marina provides 825 berths for yachts of up to 60 metres in depths of up to 4.0 metres. Berthing is expensive; currently the marina is one of the most expensive in Portugal.

Call Marina de Vilamoura on VHF channel 09.
The coast either side of Vilamoura is mostly low, sandy and featureless. The long breakwaters protecting the entrance are visible several miles off when arriving from the west. From the east, it is important not to confuse the entrance with that to the small fishing harbour at Quarteira a mile to the east. Minimum depths at the entrance are 4.0 metres. Proceed up the channel on a course of 010 degrees to the marina entrance.
Berthing
Berthing assistance may be provided by calling in advance on VHF channel 09. Yachts tie up in the marina alongside on finger pontoons. Depths on the pontoons range from 2.5 metres to 4.0 metres.
