More notes about the marina

General

Gocek marina

Port Göcek marina lies on the east side of the village itself. It is now operated by Camper & Nicholsons and is one of the most upmarket and luxurious in Turkey. It has prices to match.

Communication

Contact Port Göcek on VHF channel 73 five minutes before arrival.

Navigation

Approach is without any difficulties. The channel is marked by port and starboard buoys.

Berthing

Marina staff will assist with berthing and handle your mooring lines. Shleter is good here; the wavebreak pontoon takes most of the sting out of the occasional strong southerlies.

Facilities

  • Restaurant, café and bar
  • ATM
  • Lockers
  • Medical services
  • Buggies for ‘round the marina’ transfers

Repairs

Port Göcek Technical Services (across the bay from the marina) has a travel lift (70T) and winter storage for 180 boats. The yard can undertake most yacht repairs, including engineering and welding, electrical and electronic repairs, carpentry, upholstery, sail repairs, painting, cooling and plumbing systems and rigging work.

Security

7/24.

Location

The marina is five minutes from the village and 22 km from Dalaman International Airport.

Transportation

Good road access to Dalaman and Fethiye.

Price

Typical price for 13m yacht Turkish lire 130 per night (June 2010). See for current rates.

  • One of Turkey’s most expensive and luxurious marinas. The air-conditioned toilet and shower block has to be experienced to be believed! --Athene of Lymington 15:17, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
