Only now getting into cruising, been a sailor for 40 years. Lasers, small racing cats as kid / young adult out of Montreal (Canada). Spent 10 years in Denver (not much sailing to be had there) and now on Lake Macquarie (Newcastle, Australia). Currently sailing on a Beneteau Oceanis 34'. I never took any formal training other than what I learned from my father (formerly of Canadian Navy) until landing in Australia.
