The small harbour of Marina San Giorgio is situated up the river Corno on the N shore of the Laguna di Marano on the Adriatic coast of Italy, three miles upstream of Marina Sant’Andrea, at the small village of Porto Nogaro. The marina is accessed via a channel dredged to a depth of 6.5 metres at low water and is thus suitable for deeper draft yachts. The marina provides 300 berths for yachts of up to 26 metres.

Navigation/Approach

The marina is accessed via the lagoon entrance of Porto Buso at 45°42.3′N, 13°15.15′E. Porto Buso lies four miles E of the W entrance to the lagoon, Porto Lignano, between the islands of Isola di Sant’Andrea and Isola di Porto Buso. The channel is protected by two long breakwaters nearly a mile long and is dredged to a depth of 7.5 metres. Access is therefore possible at all states of tide and in all conditions. As such, the Porto Buso entrance is the safest point of access to the lagoon in heavy weather. Once through the entrance, continue N for two miles to arrive at the entrance to the Corno river. There are depths of 6.5 - 7.0 metres up the river Corno as far as Marina San Giorgio. The marina is 3.5 miles upstream on port side, 3.0 miles beyond Marina Sant’Andrea. Depths in the basin are 3.5 - 4.0 metres.

Berthing assistance available. Berths are in a large basin on five pontoons and catwalks. All berths are equipped with mooring posts for four-point mooring.
