Katakolo (Port of Entry)
Background
Katákolo (Κατάκολο) [37° 38.8' N 21° 19.6' E] is mainly a commercial port in NW Peloponnese. It is the watermelon capital of Greece. While it is not a particularly attractive port, it is a convenient place to leave the yacht while visiting the ancient site of Olympia, 25 km away. It is a port of entry.
