Le Lavandou is a small town of 5,500 inhabitants nestling at the foot of the Massif des Maures. The old fishing harbour of the port has been developed over the years into a full-service marina, Port Le Lavandou. A convenient stop-off point on a cruise to the Iles d'Hyeres or along the Riviera coast, it is also an excellent base for a trip to the lovely town of Bormes les Mimosa a few miles inland.
