Anafi (Ανάφη) is a small, 40.370 km², island with only about 270 inhabitants, It is the southesternmost of the Cyclades. It is a barren island seldom visited by yachts because its small harbor does not offer good protection.

According to the Greek Mythology Apollo caused Anafi to emerge from the sea, during a bad storm, in order to give protection to the Argonauts.

Skala Anafi

Skala Anafi is the only harbor in the island. It is open from the southwest to the east. With a meltemi there are strong gusts and a very uncomfortable ground swell. There is only one breakwater full of caïques. If there is no room at the break water anchor off in 3-5 m on sand and if possible take a line to the breakwater.
