  • Lighthouse Yacht Club & Marina Provides a protected anchorage and moorings and a 34-slip marina with electricity, telephone, fresh water, and cable TV. There is a coin-operated laundry, one washer and one dryer which each use eight (8) quarters, either US or Bahamian, to run. Fuel can be ordered through the dockmaster and delivered by truck to the dock. Once can buy bags of ice, there is a lovely restaurant on the premises.

Rates: Berthing rates: $1.30 per foot per day or $13.00 per foot for a monthly rate, minimum charge $25.00 per day for smaller boats.

Electricity and water are not metered, daily rates: $10 el, $5.00 water for boats up to 30 feet; $15 elec., $6 water for boats 31 to 40 feet; $20 elec. and $8 water for boats 41 to 50 feet; $23 elec. and $10 for boats 51 to 59 feet; $32 elec and $12 water for 60 feet and over. You can pay only for the days that you use water.

Water is fresh. The marina charges $8.00 per day for anchoring inside the basin, care must be taken to keep the route to the landing doc in Coakley Town clear for the large ferry that arrives once a week. there are several moorings, which the marina charges $10 per day for.

There is a strong current that turns twice a day which makes anchoring less desirable than a mooring or the marina.
