Cudillero is a small fishing village on the coast of Asturias about 30 miles west of Gijon. The village itself is very picturesque, being constructed on the slopes of a natural amphitheatre, with narrow streets leading uphill past brightly coloured houses. The fishing harbour is still very active, with the sad result that there is usually not very much room for yachts and it is often necessary to raft up on one of the fishing boats, which usually tie up fore and aft to the buoys in the harbour.

Cudillero harbour

Cudillero is a small fishing village on the coast of Asturias in NW Spain about 30 miles west of Gijon. The village itself is very picturesque, being constructed on the slopes of a natural amphitheatre, with narrow streets leading uphill past brightly coloured houses. The fishing harbour is still very active, with the sad result that there is usually not very much room for yachts and it is often necessary to raft up on one of the fishing boats, which usually tie up fore and aft to the buoys in the harbor.
