The marina of Doca de Alcantara in Lisbon is the fourth marina upriver from the entrance, just over a mile past the suspension bridge. Operated by the Port of Lisbon, it is the first of the Lisbon marinas (from the river entrance) in which a visiting yacht is likely to find space. The marina has a total of 425 berths for yachts up to 20 metres and with a maximum draft of 7.0 metres. Commercial traffic shares the basin, so the water can be quite dirty in here. Note there is no fuel berth here.

See Lisbon for approach to the river entrance. Doca de Alcantara lies just over a mile upstream of the large suspension bridge on the N side of the river. The entrance (to port) is well hidden behind a commercial wharf and can be difficult to locate. A pedestrian bridge spans the entrance and it will be opened on request. The operator needs to be contacted on VHF channel 68 by yachts wishing to access the inner basin,. The marina is in not particularly attractive suroundings and the water can be oily, but it is just a 10 minute walk to the tram for the city centre.
