Manoel Island Marina is an established marina well placed close to the centre of Valletta's Marsamxett Harbour. Berths are available for a wide range of yacht sizes. Boats under about 15 metres or so will usually be berthed on floating pontoons while larger vessels will be berthed stern to the quay.
The marina like most of the yacht berthing facilities in Malta is in heavy demand from local and visiting boats. It is advisable to contact the marina in advance to confirm a berth and avoid diappointment.
The current marina management took over the marina in January 2011.
Marina Location
The marina is located on the SE side of Manoel Island.
Manoel Island is linked by a small road bridge to the Gzira - Sliema waterfront. Crossing the bridge takes one into Gzira. Turning right leads one along the Sliema Waterfront ending eventually at Tignes Point which marks the norther side of the entrance to Marsamxett Harbour. The coast line continues on round to St. Julians and the nightlife area of Paceville. Turning left from the bridge leads round to Ta'Xbiex Waterfront and then on to Msida, and ultimately Valletta.

At one (1) nautical mile from the entrance of Marsamxett Harbour contact Manoel Island Yacht Marina on VHF Channel 13.
While the approaches are straight forward be aware of the many ships anchored off near the harbor entrance.

Berthing
You will be met by a berthing master, with an inflatable, who will assist you to your berth.
Marina facilities
Near the marina are:
- Customs - Enquire in marina office for current procedures
- Banks - Bank of Valletta and HSBC have branches nearby with ATM machines.
- Restaurants / cafes / bars - Numerous on Sliema Waterfront and also Ta'Xbiex Waterfront close to Msida Marina.
- Shops - Food shops in and around Gzira. General shops mostly in Sliema.
- Chandlers - Mostly in the Gzira area or on Ta'Xbiex Seafront by Msida Marina.
- Car/motor-scooter rentals - Numerous agencies, or AVIS have a base by Msida roundabout.
- Laundry - Gzira on Triq Testaferrata (Testaferrata Street)
Repairs/Yard
The marina is associated with the Manoel Island Yacht Yard where haul-out and repairs are possible.
Security
CCTV and permanent night security.
Transport
Numerous buses run along the nearby waterfront making access to Valletta or in the other direction to St. Julians, Paceville and beyond quite easy.
Harbour ferry
There is a small passeger ferry running regularly between Sliema Waterfront and Valletta.
