More notes about the Marina

Marina Fiorita lies on the E side of the Canale Treporti in the Venetian Lagoon, half a mile due E of the N end of the island of Sant’Erasmo and around five miles NE of the main island of Venice. The marina is on the confluence of the Treporti, Saccagnana and San Felice canals and is the closest marina to the islands of Torcello and Burano. The marina has 160 berths for yachts up to 50 metres in maximum depths of 6.5 metres.

Marina radio contact

No listening watch on VHF. Telephone or e-mail for berthing information and reservations.

Navigation/Approach

Coming from the Porto di Lido, take the channel of Canale Treporti which curves NE from the entrance round the headland of Punta Sabbioni. Marina Fiorita lies on the starboard side of the channel about two miles NE from Porto di Lido and a mile past the marina of Marina di Lio Grando. The marina is entered from NNW, though larger yachts often berth on the outside of the wavebreak pontoon at the entrance. Beware of strong currents in the entrance (and, indeed, through the marina pontoons), which can exceed 4.0 knots at springs.
