The small private marina of Mediterranea Yachting Club is situated in the port of Catania on the E coast of Sicily. The marina offers 90 berths for yachts up to 25.0 metres in depths of 10.0 metres.

The Mediterranea Yachting Club is at the southern end of the Porto Nuovo (new harbour), the outer, eastern basin of Catania harbour, on a triangular quay immediately to starboard of the entrance. Shelter here is poor in strong SE winds.
Berthing
Berthing is on two short pontoons and a small section of quay with laid moorings. There is normally someone on the pontoons to assist with mooring during the season.

Haul-out facilities. Hard standing for up to 100 vessels. Fixed crane (15Y) and mobile crane (10T). Indoor and outdoor storage. Engine, electrical and electronic repairs. Wood, GRP and steel repairs. Sail repairs. Divers.
Security
Reasonable.
Marina Location
The location of the Mediterranea Yachting Club at the southern end of the Porto Nuovo means that the berths here are around two kilometres from the cathedral and old town. Folding bikes are useful if you berth here.
Transport
The main railway station and intercity buses are at the north end of Porto Nuovo.
