The marina is about 1 M S of the castle is hard to describe. It consists of a floating dock to which are attached hinged long metal poles ending in a float, something like a comb. The idea is that you tie your boat at the dock and at the end of the pole, no need for either anchors or moorings. It is a good idea but unfortunately the poles are too short, about 5 m and they ride very low in the water. Thus, the bow is not well secured being held backwards instead of forwards and also the poles are too low for fenders to prevent them from scratching your boat. Further, the poles are so low that tying is impossible unless you step on them but their floats cannot hold your weight, so you sink while tying. A special prize must be awarded to the genius that designed this system and to idiot bureaucrats who approved the stupid scheme.

Visited Marina in August 2019. Mooring on the South dock with 4 meters depth. Pay attention at the rocks just entering the marina on your left side

No mooring rope, nobody will assist you neither ask you for money. You can anchor and back up to the dock but many things are down there and I wouldn’t trust my anchor  under Strong Meltemi.

July 2014 Notes by OldBawley: The "Marina" is in fact a small fishing harbor. The pole system is gone and replaced by a West East concrete quay. Inside no room for anything bigger than 40 feet. Catamarans and bigger mono´s moor to the outer new west east quay. Very bad holding. No charge because the harbor is "Under construction". Free water. See Google earth for a visual update, the floating crane pontoon is gone.

The former pole system is gone and is replaced by a concrete quay oriented W-E. Inside there is no room for anything bigger than 40 feet (12 metres). Catamarans and bigger monohulls moor to the outside of the new quay. Reasonable holding in front of the marina, sand with some rocky patches. In the anchorage there are mainly rock patches with poor holding. There is currently a charge. Free water one tab at base of the concrete quay. See Google Earth for a visual update, the floating crane pontoon is gone.
