Anchorages
Free Anchorage: While it's not a designated anchorage free anchoring is permitted inside Cape May Harbor along the south side of the harbor from the Coast Guard station (38.56.9N 74.53.4W) west. The depts are good ranging from three to fifteen feet and the holding ground is good. It's a bit of a dinghy ride to get into town from here but the bay is well protected and is a much more sheltered than the only other option for anchoring nearby inside the Cape Henlopen breakwater which offeres less shelter and no easy shore access.
