Panama Pre-arrival Registration

February 2009

You must still perform the normal entry procedure upon arrival in Panama (see the Panama page), however pre-registration will speed up the process.

Whilst the Panamanian authorities want those that arrive in Panamanian waters to comply with the new law, they do understand that it may not always be possible for yachts without e-mail on board to provide the information in advance. In this case, all information, as listed below, must be collated and presented on arrival.

Panama Ports of Entry: (See Panama)

In order to pre-register by e-mail, send the following information directly to the AMP: Email

  • Date
  • Local Agent (if applicable)
  • Yacht Name
  • Type of Yacht (Sail or Power)
  • Flag (Country of Registration)
  • Captain’s Name
  • Yacht Owner’s Name
  • Last Port of Clearance
  • Intended Panama Port of arrival (Must be official Port of Entry)
  • Estimated Date of Arrival (approx)
  • Yacht Registration Number
  • Net Tonnage
  • Length Overall
  • Radio Call Sign
  • Yacht E-Mail contact (if any)
  • Telephone number (if any)
  • Detailed Crew List (Full Names, Nationality, Passport numbers, etc.)
  • Any details about pets aboard, firearms and ammunition, crew injuries/health, mechanical breakdowns, vessel damages, etc.
