The town's collection of historical buildings includes the Port Albert Hotel (licensed in 1842) which fronts the town's jetties and wharf, and the general store which dates back to 1856. Islands
Various, mostly uninhabited. Port Albert is part of the 30,000ha (75,000 acre) Nooramunga Marine & Coastal Park and a centre for eco-tourism. Camping is permitted on Snake Island, but you'll need a permit (no fee required) from Parks Victoria. Sunday Island, between Port Albert and Port Welshpool, is privately owned.
