Cruising the region

Climate & Weather

The climate is warm with the mean annual temperature of 29deg., with a average annual rainfall of 3.000mls. It rains on over half the days of the year, usually heavy downpours followed by bright sunshine. The Trade winds blow from the east for most of the year but strong West winds blow (with heavier rain) in the hurricane season from November to April. Tuvalu is near the hurricane "zone" and storms can appear with little warning. The rest of the year is stable, humid, tropical weather.
