Personal Notes
- The archipelago outside Västervik is arguably one of the most beautiful cruising grounds in the world. It is a days sail from Kråkelund a pictureque former pilot station to the south and Byxelkrok near the northern tip on Öland. It is also an easy day's sail from Visby on Gotland, with its city protecting old stone wall.
- Gränsö Slott is a local attraction on the Gränsö peninsula, on the other side of Gränsö Kanal. The Slott (actually not a castle despite the literal translation, but an old estate) is the location for sumer concerts and also a many-thousand (3000+) motorcycle meet every July.
