More notes about the marina

The Marina Molo Vecchio is situated in the Porto Vecchio (Old Harbour) of Genoa, in the first basin to starboard on entry (the second is the Marina Porto Antico). The marina provides a total of 160 berths on quays to either side of the basin and can accommodate very large yachts up to 150 metres.

Call Marina Molo Vecchio on VHF channel 71 on entry to the basin and await instructions.

The marina is situated in the Porto Vecchio (Old Harbour) of Genoa, which is protected by a long detached breakwater, Digo Foranea and lies at the eastern end of the port. To reach the Porto Vecchio, leave the eastern end of the Digo Foranea to port and pass the Marina Fiera di Genova and Marina Abruzzi to starboard before entering the Porto Vecchio. Be alert to possible ship movements in and out of the basin, as it is used by several ferry lines. The Marina Marina Molo Vecchio is in the first basin to starboard.

Berthing assistance available on request following radio contact on VHF channel 71 (0700 to 2100).

  • Very friendly and helpful. At the G-section you need a 64 A 400 V CEE plug, but they have adapter to 32 A 230V CEE. Very important for me - you can dump oil and oily water in front of the office.--KHMT 12:31, 15 August 2019 (BST)
