The Marina at South Harbour Village is the perfect stop if you are running the ICW or just looking for that ideal vacation spot. Located on the Intracoastal Waterway midway between Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC (ICW mile marker 311/Green 9), South Harbour Village Marina is nestled on the site of Southport’s historic fish factory at the base of the bridge to the Oak Island beaches. A wealth of dedicated services complement a wide range of boating activities. The marina offers amenities the whole family can enjoy and is convenient to the Atlantic Ocean via the Cape Fear River Inlet.

The spacious fuel/transient dock can accommodate boats up to 175 feet. Amenities most marina guests find most attractive are: convenient access on the Intracoastal Waterway; competitive pricing on fuel and dockage; excellent power and water considerations; clean restrooms and laundry facilities; high speed internet access and courtesy phones. Marina Dockage Rates are available on a nightly, monthly, quarterly or annual basis. Both local and Italian cuisine are offered in two waterfront restaurants right at the end of our docks. So, whether you are looking for deep sea charters or tidal creek fishing, sunset cruises or lighthouse tours, a weekend retreat or golf getaway, drop anchor in The Marina at South Harbour Village and you will never want to leave.

Communication

South Harbour Village Marina may be contacted via Marine Radio Channel 16. You will be directed to channel 68 for further directions on entering the marina, fuel questions and docking instructions. Or ++1 (910) 454-7486

Navigation

There are no special navigation issues. However, the ICW can run with a nearly three knot current when the tide is rising or falling. It is best if you're unfamiliar with the location to contact the marina via Channel 16 and request docking instructions.

The staff knows local conditions and can direct you on a starboard or port tie, wind directions and information about the direction of the currents in the ICW at the the time of the call. Docking assistance is always available during normal duty hours for the marina.

Entrance

Access to the Intracoastal Water Way from the Cape Fear River, passing the town of Southport, the SHVM is located approximately two statute miles west of the ICW entrance, on the north side of the ICW channel, across from Oak Island.

Berthing

Always during normal duty hours. In general there is only one staff member on at the marina, so if traveling with a group please stagger arrival times to allow the staff member to assist each vessel in turn.
