Learned to sail 35 years ago on keel boats in SF Bay and Newport Beach, Calif. Continued to sail same in Santa Barbara, always renting, and then moved to New England. Bought first boat, 18 ft day sailor with retractable keel. Moved up to a 1984 Catalina 27 to cruise the Long Island Sound. Crewed on a 38 ft Island Packet from Bermuda to Annapolis and looking for additional blue water experience. Sold the Catalina and bought current sloop in 2015, 1978 Bristol 35.5 with the offshore goal in mind. Refitting my Bristol over the next few years with plans to enter Marion to Bermuda run. In the mean time, gathering additional experience in LI sound.
