I am an Englishman, living in Florida for thirty years. I have been sailing for nearly fifty, but only actually owned two boats. My family and I lived aboard in the Mediterranean for seven years on an Endurance 40 in the 1970’s. Between then and three years ago I have done many deliveries, chartered all over the world, been a professional skipper, and foredeck officer on Sir Winston Churchill, the three masted sail training schooner. Three years ago I bought a Down East 45 ketch, and been renovating it in Titusville, Florida ever since. This included changing the rig to a Brigantine schooner with a square sail on the foremast, along with other major refits and innovations, some of which will feature in The Good Old Boat magazine in 2015.
