Born in the spring of 1968 i a small town of the river Ångermanälven in Sweden. Since the age of 3 I've been living close to the ocean. First In Härnösand, where I was Introduced to sailing by my dad, who enlisted me for a beginners course in sailing the Optimist. My parents had a 26 foot Albin Accent that we explored Höga kusten in.

In my teenage years I moved with my family to Kalmar, where I got to know som sailors and had a few sail racing experiences. When my much missed mother passed away way too soon, I bought my own 22 foot Sailingboat, a Fabola Scanper, which I saied up and down Kalmar sund in. Borgholm was the only deacent marina in the area.

After finishing highschool, I moved to Göteborg and I brought my boat on a truck to sail the west coast of Sweden. I had a couple of nice summers, exploring the south archipelago of Göteborg, before the boat was stripped by thiefs in the dock, in the berth next to the Whitbread team EF Learn A Language.

After selling the remains of my boat, I was stranded for 15 years. since the summer of 2012 me and my wife have been cruising the north archipelago of the west coast in a Sea Ray 240 Overnighter. As of August 23 2013 we are proud owners of a Beneteau Oceanis 390 by the name Nicky.
