Kali N harbour from S

The port of Kali lies on the SE coast of the island of Ugljan, just under two miles SE of the town of Preko. Basically a fishing harbour and usually crammed to capacity, its N and S harbours are probably best regarded as a port of refuge in an emergency, and certainly not in bad weather, when the fishing fleet will be in harbour.

Navigation

There are no dangers in the approach to Kali.

Entrance

The nearest year-round port of entry is Zadar.

Berthing

Kali is a very busy fishing harbour and has little space for yachts in either its N or S harbour.

If there is space, the best position is alongside the E breakwater in N harbour, where there are depths of 3.0 - 4.0 metres. You should be prepared to leave if asked to do so by a fishing boat.

Alternatively tie up alongside a fishing boat if allowed. Shelter here is good except with anything N in the wind, when the S harbour offers better shelter (although even less space).

Marinas & Yacht Clubs

None.

Anchorages

The nearest suitable anchorage is at Poljana just N of Preko, or, in settled weather, at Preko itself..

Yacht Repairs and Services

None.

Fuel, Water, & Electricity

Fuel berth one mile NNW in direction of Preko.

Things to do Ashore
