The port of Kuklica is located on the SE coast of the island of [[Ugljan]], just over a mile NNW of the Prolaz Mali Zdrelac, the channel between Ugljan and its neighbouring island of [[Pasman]]. Built around a natural inlet, it is sheltered from all except strong SE winds. In addition to hosting a busy fishing fleet, the harbour also caters for visiting yachts, with three pontoons on its N side, complete with laid moorings, water and electricity, offering some 60 berths. Local Weather
Diurnal winds among the islands are mostly moderate during the summer months, predominantly from NW and rarely exceeding force 4/5, although gusting is common in narrow channels between islands and on the lee side of headlands. At night, katabatic winds off the mountains affect some of the islands close to the mainland coast. During early spring and (especially) autumn conditions can be more unsettled, occasionally accompanied by violent thunderstorms - luckily of short duration - with winds of 30-35 knots or more and vicious, steep seas. In the winter the sudden, violent N wind off the mountains, the bora, is much to be feared, especially along the coast from Rijeka down to Zadar, although its effects can be felt as far south as Split.
Equally prevalent in winter - although not uncommon in summer - is the scirocco, a S/SE wind that blows up from North Africa, usually in advance of a depression moving E across the Mediterranean. Unlike the bora, the scirocco only occasionally exceeds gale force, but is still a phenomenon to be wary of, especially if on a lee coast.

There are no dangers in the approach to Kuklica. Note that if approaching from S, the channel of Prolaz Mali Zdrelac between Ugljan and Pasman is only navigable by yachts with an air draft of less than 16.5 metres. Depths in the harbour entrance are 5.0 - 6.0 metres.

The nearest year-round port of entry is Zadar.
Berthing Options
There are two principal berthing options in and around Muline:
- Pontoons There are three pontoons at the N end of the harbour which provide berths for visiting yachts. Depths here range from just under 2.0 metres at the root to 3.0 metres at the end of the pontoons. Laid moorings at all berths. Shelter is good in all conditions, although strong SE winds can cause an unpleasant swell in the harbour. There are water and electricity points on the pontoons.
- Breakwater If the pontoons are full, it is possible to berth bows or stern-to the N breakwater using your anchor. Depths here are 2.5 - 3.0 metres. The holding is good in sand and weed. There are no facilities on the breakwater.
Note: The S side of the harbour is reserved for the fishing fleet.
