The Coronado Islands are three or four islands - depending on who is counting - off the coast of Mexico near the border with San Diego. The South Island is the largest and the North Island is second largest.

The center of the islands are according to Google at

South Island N 32.404168 W 117.244034

North Island N 32.439959 W 117.297935

There is slightly protected anchorage to the west of the South Island, though the accumulation of fish farms in recent years make anchoring there less desirable.

You are not allowed on shore. There is a lot of good fishing near the islands as they hold rock cod, sea bass, and sometimes yellowtail and yellowfin tuna.

The islands are useful mostly as a landmark.
