Anchorages
While it is possible to secure to the town wharf for short periods a better option is Caleta La Poza a short distance to the north. Here it is possible to either lie at anchor or you may choose to anchor and run shore lines
Tourism & things to do ashore
The town has limited attractions and is not high on my list of 'must return' ports. There is an airport on the island and the ferry 'Don Baldo' calls at the port several times a week and links it with Chacabuco and Isla Grande de Chiloe.
Stores
Limited provisions can be found in the town. There is a post office and a few bars and small restaurants.
