Marinas & Yacht Clubs

  • The new Marina was basically empty, and we had not been able to ascertain or locate any shower/toilet facilities other than the paying Hamman. (We normally shower onboard, so this was no drama for us) Could have been due to language difficulties, we have no French or Berber. Whilst expensive, they originally quoted €45 for a 12m Cat, we were able to negotiate to €35 for a 2 week stay. Marina staff were really friendly and security was excellent, not gated but patrolled 24/7

Anchorages

List details of all safe anchorages in the area.

Tourism & things to do ashore

List places of interest, tours, eateries, etc.

  • We had a fantastic dinner at Les Blancs, on the beach just outside the Marina. Not too expensive (it looks like it is from outside), good wine list as well, also reasonably priced. Reservations 028828393.

Personal Notes

Personal experiences?

  • We checked into the Yacht club, after contacting Port Control. We were unsure where to go but they said they could come to us. I guess we could have also cleared customs at the new marina in the next part of the harbour. The officials were friendly and accomodating, until 2 days later when we had organised a berth in the Marina and apparantly we broke the law, and should had notified Port Police we were relocating. However this was not a drama and once sorted they kept a good eye on our yacht.
