Check-in facilities

Visiting yachts are normally directed by The Yacht Club Peruano's launch to a club mooring. The launch attendant should be asked to inform the authorities of the yacht's arrival and request them to come to the yacht to complete clearance formalities. No one should leave the yacht until it has been boarded by the various officials, including port authority, customs, immigration and possibly security. More formalities have to be completed later at the immigration office near the commercial harbour. Shore passes will be issued, but these are not valid for travel outside Callao and Lima, so a proper visa should be requested if intending to travel inland.

Docking

The Yacht Club Peruano monitors Channel 68 and has a few mooring buoys for visitors. Otherwise one should use one's own anchor. There is a 24 hour launch service. There are a number of workshops in the surrounding area and the Yacht Club has a travelift. Fuel and water is available from the club dock.
