Cannigione is a secure spot to leave your yacht for a tour of some of the interesting Nuraghic remains for which the Arzachena area is renowned, especially the fortified dwelling of Nuraghe Malchittu, with its unusual passage construction; the ‘giants’ tombs’ of Coddu Ecchiu and Li Lolghi and the necropolis of I’Muri (which features Neolithic box tombs with concentric circles and stelae).  Other locations worth visiting include the village of Luogosanto, nestling on top of a mountain, and the astonishingly sited village of Aggius, wedged between huge piles of solid granite.  From there, one can continue through the Valle della Luna, an amazing gorge flanked by massive pillars of solid granite.
