Chiavari Marina is situated five miles SE of Rapallo on the W bank of the Entella River. It offers over 450 berths on eight pontoons for yachts up to 25 metres, but is relatively shallow, especially in the entrance. Entry and exit should never be attempted in strong onshore winds.

The long outer breakwater, oriented E-W, is visible on the approach. Entry to the marina is from due W, being careful to keep to the centre of the channel. Depths shoal quickly on the approach and the entrance itself is prone to silting. Depths can be as little as 2.5 - 3.0 metres in the entrance. Once in the marina, depths range from 3.0 to 4.5 metres.
Berthing
Marina staff will assist with berthing. All berths are on laid moorings. Yachts in transit normally berth on the S quay just inside the entrance.
