Koufonisia (Κουφονήσια) are actually two islands: Epano Koufonisi (upper) and Kato Koufonisi lower. Epano Koufonisi has recently become rather popular with Athenians and Italians attracted to its gorgeous beaches. It also has a sizable fishing fleet. Anchor in the middle and take a liner ashore.

The village is within a 15-20 minute walk.

Warning: There may be a number of floating ropes from the fishing boats.

Karos (Κάρος) or Keros is very arid and rough island, there are no paths or a place where a boat can anchor or safely stop. The island was a prehistoric (Cycladic) burial ground. Most of the findings form the burial ground are now at the National Museum and the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens.
