Meganisi (Μεγανήσι) is an island southeast of Lefkas. There are about 2000 inhabitants on the island most of them in the village Spartachori.
There are many nice coves in Meganisi.

Port Spilia

Port Spilia is an anchorage underneath the picturesque village of Spartachori. The busy taverna under the village has its own quay with laid moorings.

Port Vathi

Port Vathi is E of Port Spilia and it is where the ferry from Nidri, Lefkas islands.
There is a new wall that extends from the Western shore, to make a large new harbour. Odyseas Marina opened in 2011 with enthusiastic and capable management.
To the east of Port Vathi there are many nice anchorages. Unfortunately Meganisi is notorious for wasps and these can plaque some otherwise beautiful spots.

Port Atheni

Port Atheni is a nice cove east of Port Vathi. Anchor on the west side of the cove.
Abelike Bay

Abelike Bay is a most beautiful and secluded anchorage on the NE of the island (east of Port Vathi & west of Port Atheni).
Anchor near the head of the bay and take a line ashore.

Marinas & Yacht Clubs
Odyseas Marina +30 (6972) 426163 opened in 2011 with enthusiastic and capable management. Laid lines have been set around the inside of the new mole and along the shoreside seawall. Depths inside the mole are >4 metres and along the shorewall approx 3 metres. There is a shallow (2.8) patch about 50 metres off the shorewall. Mooring lines along the shorewall are intended for smaller boats and we (17m) had to lay an anchor out well beyond the blocks. The lines off the new camber were designed for larger boats (20+m). Power and water boxes line the camber and seawall. Fees including w&p were E50 in may and are 20% higher in July and August. Berth reservations are availiable as is longer term dockage. Floating docks south of the new camber have been purchased and were expected to be installed in 2012.
