This is a partly unfinished marina located north of the old harbour and town of Mykonos. It provides very good shelter jfrom the prevailing winds and it is quiet but far away from the main town. Until recently something of a 'free for all', attempts have been made during 2011 to improve the facilities for yachts here and there are reportedly at time of writing (July 2011) some 34 laid moorings for small and medium sized yachts on the marina’s eastern quay and 40 for larger (20-25 metre) yachts on the inner west quay. Water and electricity (prepaid) are available at some of the berths.

Berthing
Security man Nikos, employed by municipality, is usually on hand to direct yachts to a suitable berth. Laid moorings on eastern and inner western quay. Eastern quay the most appropriate for small to medium sized yachts (up to 20 metres).
Marina facilities
Currently water and electricity (prepaid system) only available on inner western quay but plans to install both on eastern quay also at some time in future. Fuel by mini tanker only. No other facilities.

Security
Poor. Its only protection is its remoteness from the town.
Marina Location
The marina is about half an hour's walk from the town and its attractions.

- Not a place to visit unless you really want to see Mykonos. It's a squeeze to get a berth anywhere and it's a dusty and depressing place (April 2007).
- Much needed improvements have been made during 2011 (see link above) and Mykonos Marina is reportedly now somewhat more yacht-friendly than it used to be. --Athene of Lymington 13:24, 11 July 2011 (BST)
