Port de l'Escale consists of two large basins protected by a series of breakwaters and is situated at the NW end of the commercial docks of [[Marseille]] on the Mediterranean coast of [[France]]. The basins contain a series of over 25 pontoons which are allocated to a number of yacht clubs and private societies. Most of the pontoons are not available for visiting yachts to moor. However, the SNEM yacht club (Société Nautique Estaque Mourepiane) has the largest number of moorings (650) and makes up to 50 of them available to visiting yachts. Owing to the limited depths the moorings are only suitable for yachts of modest draft (less than 2.0 metres) and length (less than 14.0 metres). Shelter is excellent. | Port de l'Escale consists of two large basins protected by a series of breakwaters and is situated at the NW end of the commercial docks of [[Marseille]] on the Mediterranean coast of [[France]]. Berthing assistance may be available on request. Yachts berth stern/bows-to where directed on a series of pontoons distributed between the N and S basins (the N basin has better depths). Laid moorings on all pontoons. There are ostensibly 50 places available for yachts in transit. | Berthing assistance may be available on request. More notes about the Marina |

Port de l'Escale consists of two large basins protected by a series of breakwaters and is situated at the NW end of the commercial docks of Marseille on the Mediterranean coast of France.
Marina radio contact
Try calling the SNEM yacht club on VHF channel 09. Alternatively, telephone or e-mail for advance reservations.
Port de l'Estaque should be entered through the W entrance, the Passe de Plaisance (see plan), since the E entrance is reserved for commercial traffic. Depths in the entrance are 3.5 metres and in the basins 2.0 – 2.25 metres. The clubhouse and arrivals pontoon of SNEM yacht club are at the extreme E end of the S basin; however, owing to the decreasing depths it is essential to obtain instructions from the club prior to entry.
Berthing
Berthing assistance may be available on request. Yachts berth stern/bows-to where directed on a series of pontoons distributed between the N and S basins (the N basin has better depths). Laid moorings on all pontoons. There are ostensibly 50 places available for yachts in transit.
