Rønne and Nexø are ports of entry. Vessels arriving from non-Schengen countries should arrive at one of these ports.

There are no safe anchorages around Bornholm. Although temporary anchorages may be found on the lee side of the island a wind shift will quickly find these exposed and dangerous.

There are no longer any trains running on Bornholm but the island is blesseed with a well functioning bus network.

The island is served by year-round ferry communication with Ystad in Sweden and Køge in Denmark as well as ferries to the Polish ports of Sassnitz and Swinoujscie during the summer months.

From Rønne airport there are approximately 5 flights in each direction daily to Copenhagen.
