Aitutaki, also traditionally known as Araura[citation needed] and Utataki, is one of the Cook Islands, north of Rarotonga. It has a population of approximately 2,000. Aitutaki is the second most visited island of the Cook Islands. The main village is Arutanga (Arutunga) on the west side.

Navigation

The passage into the lagoon is unmarked and narrow, just 30 m, and it is only 1,7 m deep at high tide. Note: There are reports that both C-Map and Navionics electronic charts are inaccurate.
