The are no dangers in the approach to [[Baška Voda]], although depths along the coast here are relatively shallow for some distance off. The village lies under a high mountain range and can be difficult to identify until quite close in. From 2-3 miles off the masts of yachts in the harbour and the large curved breakwater protecting the harbour from NW will be clearly seen. The harbour is entered from SSE.  Depths in the entrance are around 5.0 metres.

Baška Voda from NW

The village and resort of Baška Voda lie on the Adriatic coast of Croatia opposite the island of Brač four miles SE of the bay and harbour of Omiš and six miles NW of the harbour of Makarska. The village, which dates from the 18th century, is now a popular tourist resort, with numerous hotels, villas and other tourist developments clustered around its small harbour.

The harbour itself has been converted into a mini ‘marina’ with 30 berths for yachts up to around 15 metres in depths of 4.0 metres. Shelter here is good from the prevailing winds but strong southerlies send in a heavy swell.
