La Linea, on the border between Spain and Gibraltar, has long played second fiddle to its larger neighbour to the south, Gibraltar, where marine activities are concerned. That situation changed dramatically in 2010 with the opening of the huge new Alcaidesa Marina and residential development just a short 5-minute walk north of Gibraltar airport.
