Pangkor Island is 8 square km big and inhabited by circa 25 thousand people, mainly fishermen and local tourist operators. Three islands predominate in terms of accessibility and infrastructure into and around Pangkor Island

- the largest is Pangkor Island itself.

- the southern west smaller island, is  privately owned Pangkor Laut Resort - hosting one of the most luxurious resorts in Malaysia.

- the new manmade island Marina Island Pangkor.

- A new Gateway to Pulau Pangkor with Privately owned Commercial Marina & Jetty ( Ferries & Water Taxis to Pangkor).
