During the austral summer of 2007/8 was possible to check out of this port for Ushuaia on four days of the week - Tues/Wed and Sat/Sun. These are the days that the officials drive up from Puerto Williams to clear in and out the Chilean cruise liners 'Mare Australis' and 'Via Australis'. Clearance is normally in the evening... taking your paperwork ashore to the Alcamar earlier in the day speeds the process considerably.
