-	The harbour of Sali lies on the SE coast of the island of [[Dugi Otok]] off the mainland coast of [[Croatia]], 14 miles SSW of the city of [[Zadar]].  Sheltered from E by the small island of Lavdara two miles offshore, Sali is the largest town on the island and the main ferry port (although U. Navigation

There are no dangers in the immediate approach to Sali.

NB: there are shoal patches in the approach from NE off the island of Lavdara and between the two islets a mile NW of it.

Depths in the harbour entrance are 5.0 - 6.0 metres and on the quays 4.0 - 5.0 metres. The harbour is protected from S by a long breakwater with a light structure on the end.

Entrance

Sali is only a seasonala port of entry/exit for Croatia. For details see Entrance: Croatia.

The nearest year-round port of entry is Zadar.

The ferry landing at the NE end of the N quay also serves for entry clearance purposes. A police booth is located there and the area is surrounded by a temporary fence.
